Job description
Job Overview
This role involves driving and operating company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages efficiently and courteously. The courier is responsible for inspecting shipments to ensure compliance with FedEx service standards and providing related customer services. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
- Must hold an appropriate driver’s license for the assigned vehicle type.
- Capability to lift 50 pounds; able to handle heavier packages using equipment or assistance.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills are essential due to customer interaction.
- Professional and neat appearance required.
- Must meet all qualifications under section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations.
- Required to pass a medical examination as per FMCSA or FAA regulations for this non-covered safety-sensitive position.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Proficient in English to understand traffic signs, communicate with safety officials, and respond appropriately.
Preferred Details
The starting hourly pay is $21.05. The position is full-time with work primarily Monday through Friday in the afternoons. The hiring manager is Chris Pierson.
