Position Overview

As a Courier/DOT-2 at Federal Express Corporation, you will act as the driver and operator of company vehicles, ensuring prompt, courteous, and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. The role involves inspecting shipments for compliance with FedEx service standards and providing related customer service support. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and hold a valid license appropriate for the assigned vehicle. Ability to lift 50 pounds and manage heavier packages with suitable equipment or team assistance is necessary. Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a neat appearance due to frequent customer interaction. Candidates must meet the standards of Section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, including passing a medical examination conforming to FMCSA or FAA rules. This is a non-covered safety-sensitive position requiring continuous vigilance and safe operation. Minimum age is 21 years. Proficiency in English to read traffic signs, communicate with safety officials, and respond to inquiries according to FMCSA enforcement guidelines is mandatory.

Preferred Information and Compensation

The position offers hourly pay ranging from $21.05 to $31.26, starting at $21.05 per hour. Work schedule is Monday through Saturday with a day off to be determined, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
