Job Overview
This role involves professionally and promptly picking up and delivering parcels along a designated route while ensuring all shipments comply with FedEx Canada’s service standards. The position also requires delivering excellent customer service during all interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out courteous and efficient package pick-up and delivery on assigned routes.
- Verify shipments meet FedEx Canada's service requirements.
- Provide related customer service support during delivery operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent education.
- Valid driver’s license with a strong driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs manually and manage packages up to 150 lbs using proper equipment.
- Preferred at least one year of customer-oriented business experience.
- Must successfully pass a mandatory pre-placement driver assessment.
- Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian customs is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Outstanding customer service aptitude.
- Able to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and adapt in dynamic environments.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules including holidays as business needs dictate.
Additional Information
- This is a position that requires interviews before hiring.
- Work schedule typically runs Tuesday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, subject to change.
- The role may require the incumbent to complete all assigned duties, mandatory testing and training, maintain Windows PC proficiency, and stay current with recurring training and accreditations.
- Applicants residing in Quebec must be bilingual in French and English.
- Candidates must maintain a driver’s license (Class 5, G, or 1[AZ]) with no more than two violations or accidents within the past 24 months.
