Job description
Role Overview
As a Courier / Non-DOT-2 driver, you will operate company vehicles delivering and collecting packages efficiently and courteously. This position requires ensuring shipments meet company standards while providing excellent customer service related to deliveries. Driving assignments involve vehicles exempt from FMCSA Section 391 regulations. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
- No prior work experience required.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Capable of lifting packages weighing up to 50 pounds and using proper equipment or assistance for heavier items.
- Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficient in English to comprehend traffic signs and effectively communicate with traffic safety officials as per FMCSA regulations.
- Licensed to operate the assigned vehicle type.
Working Conditions and Expectations
- This role is classified as a non-covered safety-sensitive position.
- Requires maintaining a neat appearance due to customer interactions.
- Must work alertly and safely throughout shifts.
