Role Overview
This position involves the courteous and efficient pickup and delivery of packages along a designated route, ensuring all shipments meet Federal Express Canada service standards while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform timely pickup and delivery of parcels on assigned routes.
- Verify that shipments comply with Federal Express Canada service criteria.
- Deliver high-quality customer service and address client inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of high school or equivalent education.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Capability to lift 70 pounds and handle packages up to 150 pounds using appropriate equipment.
- Preferred minimum of one year of customer-focused business experience.
- Successful completion of mandatory pre-placement driver assessment and training.
- Basic understanding of Federal Express Canada operations and Canadian Customs rules is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective time management and organizational abilities.
- Excellent customer service aptitude.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and manage stress.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules including holidays as per business requirements.
Additional Information
- Permanent full-time role requiring operation of up to 5-ton trucks.
- Shift timing from Monday to Friday, starting at 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
- Bilingualism (French and English) required if residing in Quebec.
- Drivers must hold class 5, G, or 1 [AZ] licenses with no more than two violations/accidents in the past 24 months.
- Compliance with all mandatory training, testing, and annual recertifications is required.
- Work involves using PC Windows environment for operational tasks.
