Job Overview
This position requires attending an interview prior to selection. The role involves the courteous and efficient pick-up and delivery of parcels along assigned routes. Candidates must verify that shipments comply with Federal Express Canada's service standards and provide related customer support functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform courteous and timely collection and delivery of packages on designated routes.
- Ensure all shipments meet Federal Express Canada's service specifications.
- Deliver excellent customer service related to package handling and inquiries.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to lift loads up to 70 lbs and maneuver packages weighing as much as 150 lbs using proper equipment.
- At least one year of customer service or business experience preferred.
- Successful completion of mandatory pre-placement driver evaluation with passing score.
- Familiarity with Federal Express Canada operations and Canadian customs regulations is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional customer service capabilities.
- Capacity to multitask, manage stress, and operate well in high-pressure situations.
- Willingness to adapt to variable schedules and work on holidays as business needs dictate.
Additional Details
- This is a full-time, onsite role requiring availability Monday through Friday.
- Compensation is $24.50 per hour.
- If residing in Quebec, bilingual proficiency in French and English is required.
- Applicants must have a valid driver's license (classes 5, G, or 1[AZ]) and a driving record with no more than two infractions or accidents within the past 24 months.
- Driver competency will be assessed through driving abstract review, interviews, and driver skills tests.
- The incumbent will be expected to perform additional duties assigned, work with PC Windows environment, maintain necessary training and certifications, and be flexible with shifts.
