Courier / DOT-5 Driver

Overview

This role involves operating company vehicles to efficiently deliver and collect packages while providing excellent customer service. The position requires adherence to safety standards and regulations, with additional responsibilities assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to pick up and deliver packages with courtesy and efficiency.
• Ensure shipments comply with FedEx service standards and assist customers accordingly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Hold a valid license appropriate for the assigned vehicle type.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and maneuvering heavier packages with necessary equipment or help.
• Demonstrate good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance for customer interactions.
• Meet Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations (section 391) and pass a required medical examination.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Read and speak English sufficiently to comprehend traffic signs, communicate with officials, and follow enforcement directions.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference is given to candidates exhibiting a strong adherence to safety and customer service standards.

Additional Information

• Starting wage is $23.16 per hour.
• Position is based in Linthicum Heights, Maryland, requiring onsite work five days a week.
