Job Overview
We are seeking a courteous and efficient Courier to handle the pick-up and delivery of packages along assigned routes. The role requires ensuring all shipments meet Federal Express Canada service standards and delivering exemplary customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform timely pick-up and delivery of packages on designated routes.
- Verify shipments comply with Federal Express Canada service features.
- Provide customer service support during deliveries.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Capability to lift packages up to 70 lbs and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs with proper equipment.
- Minimum one year of customer-oriented business experience preferred.
- Must successfully pass mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training with a minimum score.
- Some familiarity with Federal Express Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective time management and organizational capabilities.
- Excellent customer service aptitude.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Flexibility to work various schedules, including holidays, according to business demands.
Additional Information
- This role may require operation within a PC Windows environment and successful completion of all recurring training and annual accreditation.
- Drivers should have a driving record of no more than two violations or accidents in the past 24 months.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required for residents of the province of Quebec.
- The hiring process includes evaluation of driving abstracts, interview performance, and driver competency assessments.
