Job Description
We are seeking a Cost Control Engineer to join our cost management team in Doha, Qatar, reporting to the Head of Project Control Department. You will contribute to developing advanced solutions to address real-world energy challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and implement effective cost control procedures.
- Develop budgets and dedicated tools to monitor project costs accurately.
- Estimate total forecasts including quantities, costs, and anticipated results.
- Conduct risk analyses on EPC contracts to identify major cost impact items for project managers or COO.
- Manage commitment controls and approve vendor and subcontractor invoices.
- Support project managers in optimizing and enhancing budgeted profits.
- Prepare and follow up on change orders and claims.
- Generate monthly internal Project Management Reports and external client status reports.
- Create monthly cash flow projections.
- Verify invoice accuracy and perform invoice validations.
- Produce statistical and close-out reports to improve data feedback and future contract estimations.
- Adhere to company and client Health, Safety, and Environment management systems.
- Comply with corporate quality standards outlined in the quality manual.
- Follow all documented departmental procedures and policies.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Proficiency in English language communication.
