About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Core Developer proficient in Python to join the Core Development team of an algorithmic trading company based in London. This role involves contributing to a small, efficient team with broad responsibilities spanning various business areas. The ideal candidate is pragmatic, passionate about coding, and committed to producing clean, concise software.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as collaboration with traders, C++ developers, middle office personnel, quantitative researchers, and the DeFi team is integral to project success. While prior cryptocurrency or finance experience is not mandatory, technical expertise and the right mindset are critical.
Technical Environment
The majority of services utilize Python, complemented by high-performance components in C++—both maintained on recent versions. The infrastructure runs on Linux-based systems, employs PostgreSQL for database management, and leverages custom, in-house solutions to address challenges typical in high-frequency trading.
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of two years of programming experience in Python.
- C++ skills are advantageous but not required.
- Experience working with SQL databases.
- Comfort and proficiency with Linux operating systems.
- Interest or experience in cryptocurrency or financial domains is beneficial but optional.
