Job description
Role Overview
Join Healthcare Services Group, Inc (HCSG) as a Cook to contribute essential culinary services preparing nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care environment. HCSG is dedicated to improving community well-being through excellence in service, and this role is key in enhancing resident satisfaction.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly wage ranges from $14.00 to $15.00. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals adhering strictly to planned menus and established recipes.
- Ensure food meets quality, taste, and presentation standards of HCSG.
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation protocols, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Assist in managing inventory and ordering kitchen supplies as required.
- Provide courteous and professional interaction with residents, staff, and visitors.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- Preferred prior experience in cooking or food preparation roles.
- Capability to comply with recipes and dietary restrictions.
- Possess a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants and management.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is mandatory.
- Physical ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull similar weights, and remain standing, sitting, bending, and walking for prolonged periods.
- Capability to perform repetitive tasks consistently and safely handle food and cleaning materials.
- May require completion of an approved sanitation and safety course.
- Holding a current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by state or county law.
- Residing within the service area is necessary for this position.
