Laundry Worker

Job Summary

Join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) as a Laundry Worker and contribute significantly to maintaining the cleanliness and availability of linens and clothing within a long-term care facility. This position is ideal for those dedicated to enhancing customer and resident experiences through high standards of hygiene and service.

Responsibilities

• Gather, categorize, launder, dry, fold, and deliver linens and personal garments efficiently.
• Operate laundry machinery in a safe and effective manner.
• Keep detailed records of laundry processes and promptly communicate any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisory staff.
• Adhere strictly to infection control and universal precaution guidelines to ensure sanitary conditions throughout.
• Engage positively with residents, colleagues, and visitors to provide outstanding customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.

Qualifications

• Preferably possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in laundry operations is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Demonstrate a positive demeanor and communicate effectively with residents, management, and coworkers at all levels.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
• Physically able to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 50 pounds, and endure prolonged periods of standing, sitting, bending, or walking.
• Capable of working safely around cleaning chemicals.
• Follow verbal and written instructions precisely and consistently perform routine repetitive tasks.
• Must reside within the designated service area.
