Position Overview

Join Westin Hotels & Resorts in Doha as a Cook II, supporting food preparation tasks with precision and care. This full-time non-management role requires on-site presence, focusing on maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, cutting, and storing in readiness for cooking.
• Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables, and accurately measure and mix ingredients.
• Cook food following recipes, quality standards, presentation guidelines, and food preparation checklists.
• Prepare cold dishes and operate kitchen appliances including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and deep fryers.
• Check food for proper doneness and monitor quality throughout preparation.
• Organize and maintain food preparation areas and package food in appropriate containers and portions.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen spaces, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment.
• Verify appliance and food temperatures to ensure safety compliance.
• Follow all company policies, safety, and security protocols, reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
• Maintain a neat and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members.
• Cultivate positive working relationships to support team goals and address staff concerns appropriately.
• Adhere to quality expectations and standards.
• Physical demands include prolonged periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, twisting, reaching overhead and below the knees, and handling items weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• At least one year of relevant job experience in food preparation or cooking.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications mandatory.
