We are currently recruiting a compassionate Cook to join our dedicated team. This role is vital in preparing and delivering nutritious and appealing meals tailored to support residents’ wellbeing and dietary requirements, contributing significantly to their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals that meet individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring excellent presentation.
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
• Contribute to menu planning and ensure variety and nutritional balance across meals.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
• Embrace a consistent work schedule without late evenings or split shifts, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Requirements

• Possession of a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Previous experience working in a kitchen or food preparation environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills coupled with good organizational abilities.
• A dependable and positive attitude towards work and teamwork.

Employment Details and Benefits

• Hourly pay rate of £13.92.
• Contract options available for either 16 or 32 hours per week.
• Eligibility for paid PVG, pension scheme, and uniform provision.
• Generous annual leave entitlement equivalent to 5.6 weeks for full-time employees.
• No requirement for late night or split shifts, ensuring a stable and manageable work routine.
