Job description
Overview
The Contracts Officer plays a pivotal role in overseeing contract management by ensuring timely circulation and finalization of contracts, identifying and mitigating risks, and enforcing compliance with Qatar Airways' standards and policies. This position demands proactive collaboration across departments, engagement with stakeholders, and a thorough understanding of contract performance metrics and regulatory requirements.
Key Duties
- Coordinate and lead contract review processes to ensure prompt agreement finalization.
- Monitor contracts to identify issues and liaise with line management to address risks.
- Ensure compliance with QR Group standards and internal policies, swiftly resolving non-compliance matters.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of all contract statuses and performance indicators.
- Manage vendor creation processes in QCAS and coordinate with suppliers and contractors accordingly.
- Raise Q-CAS requests as directed by management, ensuring timely completion of all related actions.
- Draft contracts under the guidance of the Contracts Manager or Legal Department aligned with business needs.
- Support clients and partners to facilitate smooth communication, resolving any contractual infringements.
- Maintain registers for templates and standard terms & conditions and drive standardization initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by department leadership.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, preferably a Bachelor of Law (LLB).
- Minimum of three years’ experience in contractual roles, ideally in multinational settings within airline, travel, retail or hospitality sectors.
- Proficient communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Advanced computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail for managing contracts and document workflows.
- Solid understanding of corporate policies related to contracts and agreements.
