Project Overview - EXPO 2030 Riyadh
Expo 2030 Riyadh is a major global event scheduled from October 2030 to March 2031, with an expected attendance of over 40 million visitors. The 6 square kilometer masterplan supports infrastructure, early works, utilities, and public spaces to accommodate up to 197 countries and 29 international organizations. Post-event, the area will be developed into a mixed-use legacy community facility, adhering to international sustainability standards for afforestation, water treatment, and energy.
Role Summary
The Contract Administrator will handle the preparation and oversight of less complex contracts, with support on higher value agreements. This role ensures ongoing contract progress is monitored, commercial issues are communicated to management, and all contract documentation is properly prepared and approved. Additional duties related to contract administration will also be performed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, issue, and manage contracts and agreements, including forming and distributing tender packages and managing query resolution.
- Organize meetings and workshops relevant to contract activities.
- Prepare contract documents for execution and maintain status reports and tracking systems.
- Create pre-award reports, presentations, and supporting documents aligning with Expo 2030’s goals.
- Implement contract and commercial management procedures during contract execution.
- Review contractual terms to identify risks, ambiguities, and deviations, recommending necessary actions.
- Monitor contract compliance and suggest resolution strategies for arising contract issues.
- Ensure timely collection of all contract deliverables and support contract closure.
- Prepare post-award reports, presentations, and related documentation.
Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree or its international equivalent is required, along with 6 to 8 years of relevant professional experience.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Proficiency in written and spoken English communication.
- Familiarity with legal principles, negotiations, and cost engineering.
- Strong business writing and documentation skills with excellent command of English.
- Organizational capabilities in recordkeeping and documentation maintenance.
- Adaptability in varying working environments and priorities.
- Competency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of contracting regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Experience or coursework in contract pricing, law, negotiation, and accounting.
- Familiarity with Middle Eastern or Saudi Arabian business environments.
- Arabic language proficiency.
- Hands-on experience with contract formation, claims, terms & conditions revision.
- Knowledge of lump sum, unit price, and cost-plus contract types.
- Experience with contracts related to construction, design, services, and operations & maintenance.
- Presentation skills and ability to work effectively in a multi-national team setting.
