Consultant - Project Governance Data/AI

Job Overview

This role focuses on overseeing and optimizing resource supply and demand within Data & AI projects, ensuring effective delivery governance, process enhancement, budget coordination, and comprehensive management reporting to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain an integrated perspective on Data & AI resource availability including current resources, hiring pipelines, ongoing projects, backlogs, and sales prospects.
• Ensure alignment and resolve discrepancies in resource allocations across project plans and management systems.
• Organize regular reviews of resource supply and demand, tracking implementation of action plans with stakeholders.
• Enhance governance procedures for RFI/RFP evaluations, qualification of deals, and seamless handover from opportunities to projects.
• Promote the adoption of standardized Data & AI delivery frameworks, documentation templates, and governance checkpoints.
• Coordinate feedback after project delivery on performance, estimation accuracy, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by synchronizing resource plans with project delivery, backlog, and sales pipeline demands.
• Manage operational tools such as calendars, action trackers, and dashboards to monitor resource status and readiness for delivery.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and lead efforts to standardize, automate, and improve operational processes.
• Create and maintain essential operational documentation including SOPs, process flows, RACI charts, and governance templates.
• Provide leadership with trustworthy, decision-ready analytics on resource utilization, delivery outcomes, and process effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, Finance, or related disciplines.
• Between 6 to 8 years of experience in business operations, resource management, PMO, delivery governance or workforce planning within IT services or consulting.
• Deep understanding of resource supply-demand management and workforce planning centered on project needs.
• Proven experience collaborating with project management, finance, recruitment, sales, and resource coordination teams.
• Sound knowledge of project financial metrics such as revenue, cost, margin, budget, and utilization.
• Familiarity with project/resource management, ERP, or workforce planning software platforms.
• Advanced Excel skills with strong expertise in management-level reporting and data analytics.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, capable of managing multiple stakeholders effectively.
• Experience using resource management tools such as Clarity or similar systems.
• Experience assisting with annual budgeting, forecasting, and headcount planning.
• Competence in building operational dashboards with Power BI or analogous analytics tools.
• Background in process improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of sales processes, including RFI/RFP cycles, and delivery governance frameworks.
