About the Role
An established construction company renowned for delivering high-quality building and civil engineering projects across the region is seeking a seasoned Construction Planner. The company is respected for its professional standards, safety focus, and ability to manage complex projects efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update comprehensive construction schedules.
- Manage project timelines, coordinate resources, and monitor critical milestones.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, site teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Track progress versus schedules and proactively flag potential delays or risks.
- Produce regular updates and reports on programme status.
- Support project sequencing, procurement planning, and resource allocation.
- Align construction programmes with design and commercial teams to meet project specifications.
- Assist teams in achieving project goals related to scheduling, quality, and commercial outcomes.
- Identify methods to enhance efficiency and improve programme performance.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of three years experience in a planning or project scheduling role within the construction industry.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction sequencing and methodologies.
- Experience working on both building and civil engineering assignments.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project software.
- Capability to analyze schedules, foresee risks, and devise feasible corrective actions.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
