Job description
About the Role
We are looking for a Maintenance Manager based in County Galway to oversee the engineering functions at a fast-growing manufacturing site. Following a recent substantial investment in cutting-edge automated processing technologies, this position offers complete autonomy to transform the site from a reactive firefighting approach to implementing a world-class proactive reliability strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) systems across the site.
- Upgrade and optimize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for enhanced digital maintenance management.
- Oversee inventory management including critical spare parts, ensuring appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained.
- Lead Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects by managing commissioning activities and coordinating with external vendors for new production lines.
- Supervise a lean technical team onsite and manage relationships with external engineering contractors.
- Ensure rigorous compliance with safety protocols, particularly Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and maintain readiness for audits such as BRC and Safefood certifications.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership experience in maintenance within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in root cause analysis (RCA) with comprehensive expertise in industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proven success in transitioning factory maintenance operations from reactive to proactive methodologies.
- Possession of a technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Compensation and Benefits
