Responsibilities
- Participate in early preconstruction activities to help shape project strategies.
- Prepare accurate and timely construction cost estimates for diverse projects including commercial, institutional, municipal, and education sectors.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to understand scopes, perform takeoffs, and develop detailed cost models.
- Manage multiple simultaneous estimating projects while adhering to deadlines.
- Communicate effectively across teams to support project pursuits through handoff.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating or preconstruction within a general contracting environment.
- Proven expertise estimating projects in commercial, institutional, municipal, or educational sectors.
- Solid understanding of subcontractor scopes, quantity takeoffs, and cost calculations.
- Strong proficiency with estimating software tools and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally within teams.
