Job Responsibilities
- Exemplify professionalism and maintain a high standard of grooming and conduct in the workplace.
- Respond promptly to resident emergencies, evaluate situations, and arrange emergency medical assistance if necessary.
- Ensure security by monitoring front door access and logging all visitors following protocol.
- Handle phone calls, coordinate guest meal bookings, schedule appointments within the home, and document any notable incidents.
- Promote a warm and professional environment through clear communication with residents.
- Assist with food service during special occasions and external group visits, demonstrating excellent service standards.
- Support and participate in resident activities led by the Activity Director.
- Provide dining room hosting duties, assisting Food and Beverage Servers during meals and events.
- Serve as Fire Captain in case of fire emergencies until official responders arrive.
- Maintain overall building security through regular checks and managing alarm systems.
- Carry out designated cleaning and laundry tasks, and notify Maintenance of any equipment concerns.
- Address resident maintenance requests such as resolving minor plumbing or electrical issues.
- Report damaged furniture or equipment to the Maintenance department.
- Help with orientation for new employees and complete other job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of two years' recent experience in hospitality or a related field.
- Possession of Serving it Right certification.
- Mandated WHMIS training completed.
- Certified in Food Safe procedures.

- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Physically and mentally capable of fulfilling the job duties.
- Effective planning, organizing, and leadership skills.
- Patience, tact, and friendliness when interacting with residents and visitors.
- Cooperative and courteous with colleagues in a team environment.
Compensation and Working Hours
- Both full-time and part-time employment options available.
- Shift times are 3:00 PM to midnight and midnight to 8:00 AM.
- Hourly pay ranges from $21.80 to $24.86 depending on experience.
