Component Repair Technician (Airfoil)

About the Role

Join GE Aerospace in Singapore as a Component Repair Technician specializing in airfoils, where you will apply polishing, restoration, and blending techniques on assigned parts, adhering strictly to established operational procedures. You will be responsible for identifying and reporting any inconsistencies or irregularities to the Facilitator or Engineer to ensure quality and efficiency, while meeting daily and weekly output targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute hand blending and polishing processes on engine components, followed by thorough self-inspections to ensure compliance with specified tolerances and quality standards.
• Accurately read, interpret, and adhere to Operation Sheets during the performance of repair tasks.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Minimum educational requirement is GCE 'O' level with at least three years of relevant hands-on experience.
• Alternatively, candidates with NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical or Precision Engineering or an equivalent qualification are encouraged.
• Diploma holders in Mechanical, Precision, or Manufacturing Engineering are also suitable.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding manufacturing operation sheets and standard operating procedures in English is essential.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with CNC programming concepts.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and instructions effectively.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Previous exposure to a manufacturing work environment is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
