Job description
Role Overview
The Commissioning Lead will be responsible for supervising contractor progress and managing commissioning activities specifically for brownfield wellhead platforms (WHPs) and riser towers (RTs) in the onshore telecom sector. The position also encompasses leadership in offshore brownfield execution tasks.
Construction and Commissioning
- Observe and verify contractors' completion of their assigned scopes in accordance with project specifications.
- Monitor construction phases, especially during pre-shutdown and shutdown periods to ensure smooth operations.
- Lead and oversee offshore brownfield preship and commissioning activities ensuring they are executed efficiently.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations and compliance throughout all commissioning operations.
Punch Lists and Handover
- Facilitate the creation, classification, and resolution of punch lists through weekly meetings with contractors.
- Authenticate the completion dossiers prepared by EPC contractors covering mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning phases, and handover to the permanent asset team.
- Track subsystem progress via the completion management system to guarantee timely and accurate handovers.
Preservation and Lessons Learned
- Verify that EPC contractors conduct preservation activities according to project standards.
- Collect, coordinate, and disseminate lessons learned, ensuring these are documented within the project's lessons learned database.
Documentation Control
- Manage and regulate all documentation related to mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning stages.
- Oversee the status of completion and associated documents throughout the project completion lifecycle.
Experience and Qualifications
- Applicants should have 8 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience in managing brownfield pre-commissioning and commissioning activities is essential.
- Skilled in contractor supervision, completion dossier verification, preservation oversight, completion management systems, asset handovers, and commissioning document control.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and compliance during all commissioning phases.
