Position Summary

This role involves preparing ingredients for cooking, including tasks such as portioning, chopping, washing, peeling fruits and vegetables, measuring and mixing ingredients accurately. The candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to established recipes and quality standards, including cold food preparation. Operating kitchen appliances like ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers is required. The job includes testing food to ensure proper cooking, monitoring food quality consistently, and managing the work station setup and cleanup. Serving food in proper portions and ensuring kitchen areas, tools, and equipment are cleaned and disinfected is also expected. Additionally, the candidate must verify the correct temperature of food and appliances.

Additional Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any maintenance needs, incidents, or unsafe conditions promptly to management.
• Complete required safety training and maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, foster positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to colleagues' concerns.
• Ensure compliance with quality and presentation standards.
• Physically able to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods, bend, twist, lift up to 25 pounds without assistance, and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• Experience: At least one year of relevant work experience.
• Supervisory experience: Not required.
• Licenses/Certifications: None specified.
