Position Overview

Join the St. Regis Hotels & Resorts culinary team as a Commis 1, responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting with food preparation tasks in a high-standard kitchen environment located at Marasi Drive, Business Bay, Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cooking ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Measure, weigh, and mix ingredients as per recipes and quality requirements.
• Cook food items using various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Prepare cold dishes and test food to ensure proper cooking levels.
• Maintain quality standards during food preparation and ensure proper portioning and presentation.
• Set up and dismantle the workstation at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, utensils, knives, and equipment to maintain hygiene.
• Monitor and verify appliance and food temperatures to ensure safety compliance.
• Adhere to company safety, security policies, and training; report hazards, maintenance requests, and incidents promptly.
• Maintain a professional and clean appearance at all times; handle company assets responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, fostering positive working relationships and teamwork to achieve common goals.
• Physically able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; bend, twist, lift, and move objects up to 25 pounds.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• At least one year of relevant culinary or kitchen experience preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications mandated.
