Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Commercial Building Labourers to join our Adelaide team. This is a permanent, full-time position ideal for motivated individuals with practical commercial construction experience. The role involves hands-on support to skilled tradespeople across various commercial projects, especially focusing on roofing, site preparation, material handling, and general labouring tasks. Roofing experience is valued but not mandatory.
Key Duties
- Assist tradespeople in commercial building and roofing tasks.
- Handle and install roofing, cladding, and associated materials.
- Perform general construction and site preparation activities.
- Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Operate from Elevated Work Platforms as necessary.
- Maintain safety standards when working at heights.
- Support site cleanliness and organization.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople and project teams.
- Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety (WHS) and quality guidelines.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous commercial building or construction industry experience.
- Valid Working at Heights certification.
- Construction White Card.
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) license.
- Current driver's license and reliable transport.
- Competence in safe use of common hand and power tools.
- Strong safety consciousness and communication skills.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience in commercial roofing or supporting roof plumbers.
- Familiarity with metal roofing, cladding, or flashing works.
- Additional construction certifications or licenses.
- Exposure to larger commercial or industrial construction projects.
