Position Overview

Vrinda International is seeking a skilled Color Stone Grader with 4 to 9 years of relevant expertise to join our team in Jaipur City, Jaipur – Sitapura, and Kolkata. The role involves meticulous evaluation and grading of colored gemstones according to industry standards and quality benchmarks. This opportunity offers compensation aligned with sector norms and requires candidates to attend face-to-face interviews.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess gemstones based on color attributes including hue, tone, saturation, clarity, cut, polish, symmetry, and transparency.
• Identify various colored gemstones such as Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Amethyst, Topaz, Tourmaline, Garnet, Tanzanite, and Aquamarine.
• Detect internal features like inclusions and fractures, as well as treatments impacting gemstone quality.
• Recognize signs of heat treatment, filling, dyeing, irradiation, and diffusion processes.
• Utilize proper lighting and magnification tools to closely examine stones.
• Classify and organize stones by quality, size, color, and market value.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records related to grading and documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with departments such as Production, Quality Control, Purchasing, and Sales.
• Ensure grading consistency following company protocols.
• Handle all gemstones with care while complying with security guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of colored gemstones and distinctive features.
• Proven experience in grading and sorting gemstones.
• Excellent ability to distinguish subtle differences in color and detailed visual inspection skills.
• Understanding of common treatments, as well as synthetic and imitation stones.
• Familiarity with gemological instruments like loupe, microscope, refractometer, polariscope, and dichroscope is advantageous.
• Strong focus on precision and thoroughness in work.
