About the Role
We are searching for a skilled Collections Officer to manage overdue account follow-ups and liaise with customers based in the United States. The ideal candidate must approach debt recovery persistently and assertively while maintaining professionalism and effective communication in English.
Responsibilities
- Initiate outbound phone calls and send emails to pursue outstanding payments.
- Handle objections and payment delays from customers with professionalism.
- Maintain consistent follow-up on all payment promises.
- Keep accurate records of communications and planned next actions.
- Achieve daily and weekly targets related to collections and key performance indicators.
Requirements
- Documented experience in collections is mandatory.
- Experience specifically with US customer accounts is highly preferred.
- Fluent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Able to conduct a high volume of outbound calls.
- Communicates in a clear, direct, and concise manner.
- Exhibits firmness, persistence, and professionalism in approach.
- Strong ability to ensure follow-through and take accountability.
- Comfortable working with targets and performance-based metrics.
