Collections Officer (Remote, Canada)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Collections Officer to join our team remotely in Canada. This role involves proactively reaching out to clients based in the United States to recover overdue payments. The ideal candidate will combine persistence and firmness with professional communication skills, ensuring effective follow-up without aggression.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate outbound phone calls and send follow-up emails regarding outstanding balances.
• Manage customer objections and payment postponements in a professional manner.
• Ensure consistent follow-up on agreed payment plans and commitments.
• Accurately document account statuses and next action steps.
• Strive to meet daily and weekly collection goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in collections is mandatory.
• Prior experience working with US-based customers or accounts is highly desirable.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Comfortable handling a significant volume of outbound calls per day.
• Ability to communicate clearly, directly, and succinctly.
• Maintain a firm, persistent, and professional demeanor.
• Strong sense of accountability and thoroughness in task completion.
• Familiarity and comfort with working toward targets and performance metrics.

Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly gross salary of CAD 4000, commensurate with experience and proven collection skills.
