CNC Operator

About the Role

Our client is a prominent structural steel fabrication and construction firm operating throughout the UK and Ireland. Due to their ongoing growth, they are seeking a skilled CNC Operator experienced with Structural Steel Sections to become part of their busy production team. This full-time position offers a chance to join an expanding and ambitious company, reporting directly to the CNC/Production Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and related equipment, including overhead cranes, safely and efficiently.
• Verify that tooling is appropriate and ready before commencing tasks.
• Precisely process structural steel sections to meet quality standards and production goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and log work activities using TnT scanning and Strumis systems.
• Perform regular accuracy checks and ensure correct marking of products prior to moving them forward in production.
• Promptly report any machine issues to management or the maintenance team.
• Keep the workplace clean, safe, and organized at all times.
• Follow all health and safety protocols and adhere to established work instructions.
• Ensure the fabrication department has the necessary materials available as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated experience operating CNC machinery in manufacturing, engineering, or structural steel environments.
• Specific experience with Structural Steel Sections is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of CNC equipment and production workflows.
• Excellent attention to detail focused on accuracy and product quality.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
• Capable of managing workload independently and efficiently.
• Diligent, flexible, hardworking, and mindful of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to meet production targets and deadlines reliably.
• Proactive in identifying and reporting operational issues promptly.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranging from A335,000 to A340,000 depending on experience.
