About the Role
Join a global team within Microsoft's Customer Experience and Success (CE&S) organization dedicated to driving customer value by leveraging Microsoft’s cloud and AI technologies. As a Cloud Solution Architect, you will work with multinational clients to co-create innovative technology solutions using Azure services such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, and Purview. You will play a pivotal role in accelerating customers’ cloud adoption and AI transformation journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality architectural designs, proof-of-concept initiatives, and production deployments focusing on cloud workloads around AI, applications, and data.
- Engage with C-level executives and customer success leaders to define and execute cloud strategies that promote innovation and business growth.
- Ensure operational excellence in sales activities, risk management, and methodology adherence throughout engagement phases.
- Identify and escalate challenges to drive timely solution deployment and increased customer satisfaction.
- Develop and nurture customer and partner relationships to foster trust, advocate for optimal architectures, and uncover new opportunities for cloud consumption expansion.
- Guide partners with technical enablement, unblock technical obstacles in deals, and support sales efforts with proof-of-concept and pre-sales assistance.
- Contribute technical leadership by mentoring peers, leading readiness sessions, and participating in community events to elevate Microsoft’s presence.
- Collect and relay customer insights to engineering and product teams to influence roadmap and enhance offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business, or related fields with at least 7 years of experience in cloud technologies, IT consulting, architecture, or related roles; equivalent experience is acceptable.
- Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years or a Master’s degree with 8+ years experience in cloud/data technologies and consulting.
- A minimum of 6 years in customer-facing and technical project roles, including hands-on coding experience.
- Relevant cloud certifications such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or specialized security credentials are highly valued.
Work Environment & Logistics
This full-time position is based in Sydney, Australia, offering a hybrid work arrangement with up to 50% remote work and minimal travel requirements (less than 25%).
