About the Team
The Cybersecurity team ensures security for all services provided by Volcano Engine & BytePlus, a cloud service provider under ByteDance. This includes IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings. Join a pioneering security team focused on protecting cloud infrastructure using advanced technologies and industry best practices. You will be responsible for designing and implementing strong security solutions that safeguard sensitive data and ensure system resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and manage cloud security across physical hardware, OS, cloud-native apps, data protection, insider threats, and generative AI aspects.
- Establish and maintain cloud security policies, standards, and procedures aligning with industry regulations and best practices.
- Perform security risk evaluations, vulnerability assessments, and conduct security training to proactively close security gaps.
- Work collaboratively with various teams to embed security controls into cloud products and their infrastructure.
- Keep current with evolving cloud security threats, trends, and technologies, advising on effective security strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Good understanding of common security risks, attack and defense methods, and ability to lead security architecture and risk governance strategically.
- Knowledge of cloud-native and infrastructure technologies, including network access, large language models, big data, storage, cloud computing, microservices, and zero trust frameworks.
- Experience with container security tools and technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as serverless security practices.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Golang, Python, Java, or NodeJS, including skills in code auditing and development.
- Familiarity with security standards and frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks, GDPR, and HIPAA.
- Excellent communication, teamwork abilities, professional ethics, and strong risk awareness, with a results-driven approach focused on sustained career growth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Track record of identifying significant vulnerabilities or success in large-scale security competitions is advantageous.
- Experience leading or actively contributing to major governance, architecture, or security design projects.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, coupled with best practices in cloud security.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, or GIAC are desirable.
