Cleaning Technician

About the Role

Join a veteran-led, family-operated SERVPRO team as a Cleaning Technician dedicated to restoring properties affected by fire, water, smoke, mold, or sewage. This hands-on position empowers you to renew homes and commercial spaces, making them feel fresh and fully restored.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, restoration, and deodorization of structures and contents impacted by various damages.
• Document work progress through "before and after" photography.
• Maintain and inventory tools and cleanliness of the assigned work vehicle.
• Respond rapidly to emergency restoration calls, including water and fire damage incidents.
• Support room preparation and restoration planning activities.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients to address concerns and describe restoration procedures.
• Report safety hazards or job site issues promptly to supervisors.
• Learn and implement effective water, smoke, and mold removal techniques and operate relevant equipment, with training provided.
• Assist with light office cleaning tasks on occasion.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, integrity, and accountability.
• Possess good communication skills, fostering teamwork and dialogue.
• Hold a High School diploma or GED.
• Experience in restoration, construction, or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
• IICRC certifications are advantageous.
• Possess a valid driver's license and availability for on-call shifts.
• Physical capability to perform demanding tasks such as lifting up to 100 lbs (with assistance), climbing ladders, working in confined or elevated spaces, and performing repetitive manual work.

Schedule and Physical Demands

• Full-time schedule, generally between 7 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Availability to work some evenings, occasional weekends, and local travel, including some out-of-area assignments.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifting to 100 lbs assisted, working overhead, in tight spaces, using solvents and hand tools, and being on feet for extended periods.
