Commercial Cleaner

About the Role

Join our team as a Commercial Cleaner where you will play a vital part in assisting individuals during challenging situations. Our goal is to restore fire and water damage to the point where it appears as though it never occurred. This role demands strong communication, multitasking abilities, and supervision skills in demanding environments. Dependability and a drive to exceed expectations are essential qualities.

Key Responsibilities

• Load work vehicles with necessary equipment, products, and supplies for each assignment.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are kept clean and orderly.
• Prepare designated areas or rooms for cleaning and restoration work.
• Maintain a tidy and organized job site upon project completion.
• Carry out production tasks adhering to SERVPRO® guidelines based on work orders and direction from the crew chief.
• Maintain clear communication with the crew chief and team members, particularly regarding customer needs and concerns.
• Conduct end-of-day and end-of-job cleanup and breakdown activities to keep job sites neat.
• Adhere to safety protocols and risk management guidelines on site, at the office, and during travel.

Candidate Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Preferred experience in cleaning and restoration services.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• IICRC certification is advantageous.
• Must be able to travel locally and out-of-state as required.
• Ability to successfully pass a background check in accordance with applicable laws.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift weights of 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals is expected.
• Capability to stand and walk for extended periods, drive, sit, and climb ladders or reach ceiling heights.
• Comfort working in confined spaces such as crawl spaces under buildings.
• Repetitive tasks involving pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying objects.

Work Schedule and Additional Information

This is a full-time position with core working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The role includes participation in an on-call rotation covering evenings and weekends. A valid driver’s license is mandatory since the position involves operating company vehicles.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly wage of $20.00.
