Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking full-time Cleaners to join our cleaning and facilities team serving Government Services in London. This position involves working 35 hours a week in high-security environments requiring specific eligibility and clearance. Cleaners will play a key role in maintaining hygienic and safe environments for clients and customers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cleaning and facilities teams to uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
- Perform dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming tasks to maintain designated areas at a high standard.
- Regularly sanitize surfaces, floors, windows, and other frequent touchpoints.
- Respond promptly to spillages and undertake necessary cleaning activities.
- Manage the emptying and proper disposal of waste bins.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supply stocks as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Enthusiastic about hands-on cleaning duties.
- Previous cleaning experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Willingness to embrace a flexible work schedule.
Security and Eligibility Requirements
Due to the high-security nature of this role, applicants must be sole British citizens who have resided continuously in the UK for at least 10 years and have not spent more than 2 months outside the UK at any one time during the last 3 years.
Candidates must hold or be capable of obtaining Developed Vetting (DV) clearance, which includes a comprehensive vetting process involving security questionnaires, background verification, and an interview. Eligibility requires UK citizenship or eligibility for UK Developed Vetting clearance and continuous UK residence for 10 years, along with the ability to provide detailed address, employment, and education history over the previous decade.
Clearance Benefits
- £1,500 paid after completion of DV clearance paperwork and interview attendance.
- Additional £1,500 awarded upon successful grant of DV clearance.
- An annual DV allowance of £3,000 (pro-rated for part-time staff) distributed monthly when working in DV STRAP secure areas.
