About the Role
Join Compass Group UK & Ireland as a Handy Person based in Harrogate, delivering planned and reactive maintenance tasks to meet service quality, cost control, and safety standards aligned with ISO:9001 and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs promptly and effectively.
- Perform general painting and decorating duties.
- Handle light carpentry installations such as cabinet construction.
- Support other trades such as electricians and plumbers with their tasks when required.
- Detect and report any major repair needs proactively.
- Operate independently and collaborate with teams to maintain high-quality workmanship.
- Complete administrative duties including timely and accurate work schedules and ticket logging.
- Maintain basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Understand legionella control principles.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, holding IOSH Managing Safely or comparable qualifications.
