About Team Global Express NZ
Operating throughout New Zealand from Kaitaia to Invercargill, Team Global Express NZ specializes in freight forwarding, comprehensive transport, and logistics services, connecting communities and supporting eCommerce growth across the country.
Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable Class 5 Linehaul Driver to join our Wellington branch. This role focuses on assisting with timely freight collections and deliveries to one of our principal customers, contributing to on-time, safe transport of goods.
Work Schedule
This position involves shifts from Monday to Friday starting at 7pm, with a minimum of 10 hours daily. Flexibility to work on public holidays and weekends may occasionally be required depending on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually load and unload freight ensuring safety and care.
- Handle freight attentively to prevent damage during transit and handling.
- Scan all freight items thoroughly; every item touched must be scanned.
- Complete all deliveries and pickups punctually and as per company standards.
- Engage actively with all company health and safety processes and policies.
- Operate vehicles responsibly, abiding by all legal and safety regulations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle, both inside and out.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Valid, clean Full New Zealand Class 5 Driver’s License including Dangerous Goods endorsement.
- Forklift license with OSH certification is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated customer-oriented approach coupled with effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity and experience driving on New Zealand roads.
