Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to join our team in King's Lynn. This full-time permanent position offers a great work-life balance with no late evenings or overnight stays. You will be responsible for delivering building materials safely and efficiently to local customers, loading your vehicle using the HIAB, and managing around 14 delivery stops daily. Regular reloads at the branch are part of the routine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport building materials from the branch to local customers ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Operate the HIAB to load materials securely onto your vehicle.
  • Verify vehicle and load legality before hitting the road.
  • Maintain a professional image as the company's representative during deliveries.
  • Complete approximately 14 drops per day, returning to the branch to reload as required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess a valid Class 2 driving license.
  • Hold up-to-date CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) training records.
  • Have held a Category B driving license for at least 12 months.
  • Customer-oriented attitude to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Commitment to safety and professionalism in all aspects of the role.
  • HIAB experience is advantageous but not essential; company-funded HIAB training is provided.
