About the Role and Location
This position is based at Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort, part of Anantara Hotels & Resorts, a globally recognized luxury hotel chain rooted in Thai heritage emphasizing authentic hospitality. Since its inception in 2001, Anantara has expanded worldwide, providing memorable stays in some of the most stunning destinations, from serene beaches to vibrant cities. Ras Al Khaimah, located 45 minutes from Dubai, offers adventurous experiences ranging from beach escapades to mountain treks and desert safaris, creating an idyllic eco-sanctuary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee operations of the Concierge, Bell Desk, including Bell Staff, Doormen, Valet Parking, and airport transfer services.
- Deliver comprehensive information on hotel amenities, local attractions, dining options, medical professionals, and sightseeing opportunities to guests.
- Prioritize promoting the hotel’s own Food and Beverage outlets with complete knowledge of cuisine and operating hours before suggesting external restaurants.
- Maintain the lobby area in a consistently tidy and organized condition.
- Develop and manage efficient work and leave schedules for Concierge, Doormen, and Bell Services, considering occupancy forecasts and large group requirements.
- Ensure all staff in Concierge, Doormen, Valet, and Bell services maintain professional appearance, punctuality, and timely task completion.
- Address guest concerns effectively, coordinating with department heads or executive management when the Director of Operations is unavailable.
- Create and maintain detailed department standards and procedures focusing on guest satisfaction, implementing them through hands-on training.
- Conduct training needs assessments for departmental staff and design applicable training programs to enhance skills.
- Carry out probation reviews and formal performance evaluations, providing coaching, counselling, and discipline aimed at improving staff performance.
- Guarantee all guest inquiries and requests are met with exceptional courtesy, efficiency, and professionalism aligned with the brand’s standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Comprehensive skills and knowledge in Concierge and Front Office operations.
- A minimum of two years management experience in a luxury hotel setting.
- Proficient in computer usage and property management systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
- Exceptional guest relationship skills.
- Mandatory possession of Les Clefs d’Or certification.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
