Role Overview

As Chief Academic Director, you will be a pivotal figure in bridging the institute's educational vision with our most valuable assets—our students. You will maintain ongoing communication with both students and the commercial team to assess and enhance academic offerings continually. Your responsibilities include building and managing a diverse network of internal and freelance educators, developing academic products, and ensuring alignment with the institute's goals. Reporting directly to the General Manager and serving on the Executive Committee, you will also oversee student group progress, admissions, and support marketing and communications efforts. Additionally, you will champion the institute’s reputation and educational excellence nationally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan academic schedules and conduct institutional evaluations aligned with curricular objectives.
• Organize and staff academic faculty by domain, coordinating efforts to meet institutional targets.
• Enhance the educational process by providing ongoing support to professors and learners.
• Develop and oversee student relationship strategies throughout all customer journey stages.
• Manage academic accreditation processes with Saudi regulatory bodies, especially TVTC, ensuring full compliance and recognition of all programs and bootcamps.
• Lead cross-departmental initiatives impacting the student experience, including job boards, internships, and alumni engagement.
• Communicate and embody the institute’s mission, vision, and values in all interactions with prospects and corporate partners.
• Formulate organizational strategies for admissions informed by data analysis and aligned with institutional objectives.
• Design comprehensive academic plans encompassing trend assessment, measurement frameworks, process definition, quality assurance, and change management.
• Promote the institute within the country by delivering presentations at schools, corporate venues, and job fairs.
• Establish and maintain statistical monitoring systems to enhance student recruitment, forecasting, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain a steady influx of qualified applicants through evaluation of enrollment trends and marketing strategies.
• Refine recruitment tactics to optimize student intake.
• Coordinate biannual open campus events to welcome prospective students.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience: A degree in computer science, telecommunications, physics, or mathematics engineering is preferred. Candidates should have at least 10 years of relevant experience in information technology or education sectors, including a minimum of 3 years in leadership or coordination roles. Teaching and public speaking experience are valuable additions.

Professional Skills: Experience in academic or consultancy roles within multinational companies or educational institutions is essential. Experience in business benchmarking or advisory services is a plus. Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken, is required; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous. Candidates must exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to recognize growth opportunities in academic products, and motivational leadership to encourage teamwork. Organizational aptitude and coordination expertise are crucial, alongside experience in strategic development and navigating matrix organizations.

Technical Knowledge: Foundational understanding of computing and technology concepts with prior programming experience. Familiarity with at least five of the following domains: Cybersecurity, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Semantic Web technologies, Machine Learning, Voice Technologies, Cloud platforms, Internet of Things, Natural Language Processing, and Agile methodologies. Knowledge of major open-source projects such as Apache, Linux, and MySQL is also important. A thorough understanding of Saudi Arabia’s vocational education regulations, including TVTC accreditation and curriculum requirements, is necessary.
