Overview

Busy Bees Aotearoa is seeking a dedicated Centre Manager to oversee the operations of our Busy Bees Gladstone Road early childhood education centre in Gisborne. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage centre performance and develop a motivated, high-achieving team.
  • Ensure delivery of exceptional care and education aligned with compliance and financial objectives.
  • Provide mentorship and development opportunities to teachers through Professional Growth Cycles and individual discussions.
  • Execute centre-specific strategic initiatives and conduct thorough curriculum assessments.
  • Manage enrolment numbers, occupancy, and staff scheduling to reach agreed targets.
  • Cultivate strong community relationships and represent the centre publicly.
  • Embed bicultural education based on Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) or NZQA-approved equivalent.
  • Current teacher registration with proven leadership experience in the ECE sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki curriculum framework, Ministry of Education regulations, licensing standards, and Teaching Council requirements.
  • Experience utilizing childcare management software and managing enrolment and staff rostering.
  • Dedicated to integrating Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, Te Reo Māori, and tikanga in everyday practice.
