Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking a Casting Engineer with practical expertise in sheet metal casting, tasked with designing and developing various engine components. This role includes the creation of complex housings made from aluminum alloys, cast iron, plastics, as well as plastic and steel tubes, and support brackets.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize 1 to 4 years of experience specifically in sheet metal casting to contribute effectively to design projects.
- Lead design and development efforts for engine parts including castings, forgings, shafts, and sheet metal components.
- Create intricate housing designs using materials like aluminum alloy, cast iron, and plastic, along with designing plastic/steel tubing and support brackets.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong fundamentals and hands-on experience in casting and sheet metal parts design.
- Proficiency in UG NX tools including solid modeling, tubing and mechanical routing, sheet metal design, and drafting.
- Familiarity with Teamcenter software is preferred but not mandatory.
