About the Role
Cashiers are essential frontline employees who ensure fast, friendly, accurate, and safe customer transactions. They handle checkout and return processes, oversee the Self-Checkout stations, and actively expand their product and project knowledge to better assist customers and identify sales opportunities. Adherence to company policies and procedures is vital to minimize losses.
Head Cashier Responsibilities
The Head Cashier role involves directing and positioning cashiers on the floor, facilitating price checks, and approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns across various services including mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. Additionally, they act as the first point of escalation for customer concerns and support the management, coaching, and training of Front End Associates by engaging in cashier onboarding and leveraging development tools.
Qualifications
A minimum of one year of experience as a cashier is preferred for the Head Cashier position.
