Job Overview
Cashiers hold a vital position in delivering prompt, courteous, precise, and secure service to customers. Their duties include handling Checkout and Return transactions and overseeing the Self-Checkout section. They actively acquire product and project knowledge to effectively assist customers and uncover potential sales opportunities. Adherence to company policies is essential to minimize shrinkage.
Responsibilities
The role includes positioning Cashiers, expediting price verifications, authorizing Point of Sale transactions and markdowns across main registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental areas. Head Cashiers also manage initial customer issue escalations and support supervision, mentorship, and training of Front End Associates by engaging in onboarding new Cashiers and using available resources to coach and develop staff.
Additional Information
The preferred candidate for Head Cashier has over one year of experience as a Cashier.
