Position Overview

Under the guidance of the Chief of Mission and Head of Unit in Dublin and direct supervision of the Senior Integration Associate, the Caseworker will play a critical role in assisting Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTP) in Ireland. The position centers around facilitating their integration by improving access to support services, language assistance, and personalized case support. It also includes various related program tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the project activities.
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and present data related to specific aspects of the project.
  • Assist in developing and executing integration strategies through research and additional assistance.
  • Conduct in-depth vulnerability assessments of BOTP individuals before intensive interventions to ensure informed decision making and offer tailored case support when possible.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to initiate requests, obtain approvals, and process administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Distribute accurate and relevant information to BOTP populations and ensure necessary referrals are made for vulnerable cases; provide translation and interpretation when required.
  • Prepare status reports highlighting any issues in service delivery and propose corrective measures to supervisors.
  • Draft correspondence, compile reports, briefing notes, statistical data, presentations, and other documentation as required.
  • Respond to complex queries, maintain records, and organize meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Engage in meetings and conferences, assisting with coordinating project activities with authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in overseeing the work of implementing partners and report any non-compliance concerns.
  • Provide guidance and training support to new and junior staff members.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Either a school diploma with five years relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development or Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law, or related disciplines from an accredited institution, plus three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
  • Experience working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced people, victims of trafficking, or other vulnerable groups.
  • Previous employment with international humanitarian organizations or government/non-government bodies in diverse cultural environments is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge across migration-related subjects relevant to the organization’s mandate.
  • Competency in case management.

Languages

Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory. Additionally, proficiency in Ukrainian and Russian is required. Language skills will be assessed during the selection process.
