Role Overview

As a Carpenter at One&Only The Palm, you will play a key part in the maintenance team ensuring all wooden structures and furniture within the resort are well maintained and repaired. Your expertise will cover various areas including villas, public spaces, staff accommodations, and outdoor beach furniture. Additionally, you will handle construction and fabrication of new wooden furnishings and support in-house carpentry projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow and uphold preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal condition of wooden structures.
• Address maintenance requests efficiently and professionally, keeping any backlog within acceptable limits and reporting material shortages or issues to supervisors.
• Complete all assigned tasks promptly while maintaining the high-quality standards associated with One&Only.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of all carpentry tools, equipment, work areas, and the carpentry workshop.
• Incorporate innovative techniques and skills to improve work when necessary.

Requirements

• At least two years of relevant experience in furniture carpentry, building, and construction.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are preferred to support team interactions.
