Carpenter / Multi-Trader

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Multi-Trader to join our Responsive Maintenance team at WPS, based in Walton-on-Thames. The role involves working primarily on VOID properties within a vital social housing contract, helping to restore empty homes to excellent condition for new tenants.

Key Duties

• Perform repair, renewal, and reinstatement tasks within void properties to prepare them for re-letting.
• Handle a range of carpentry and multi-trade operations necessary for completing refurbishment works.
• Communicate promptly with your Supervisor when additional trades are required.
• Work independently or collaboratively with other operatives to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Maintain accurate daily work sheets documenting tasks accomplished and materials utilized.
• Ensure all tasks meet high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a full UK driving licence.
• Hold an NVQ Level 2 qualification in Carpentry or an equivalent trade certification.
• Demonstrated experience in carpentry and multi-trade roles, ideally within voids or social housing environments.
• Ability to produce quality workmanship under tight time constraints.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• A customer-oriented approach and dedication to maintaining property standards.
