Role Overview

Carvana, a leading and rapidly expanding used automotive retailer in the United States, is seeking motivated entry-level Lot Attendants to join their Market Hubs team. The primary focus of this role is to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles, while collaborating with colleagues to facilitate timely deliveries and enhance customer satisfaction.

Compensation and Growth

This full-time position offers paid time off, paid holidays including your birthday, and a competitive starting hourly wage beginning at $19. Pay increases to $19.25 at 3 months, $19.50 at 6 months, $19.75 at 9 months, and $20 after one year, driven by a career advancement program with four merit-based increases annually.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles for mechanical, cosmetic, and drivability issues.
• Perform regular washing and vacuuming of all inventory vehicles.
• Conduct comprehensive multi-point inspections covering fuel level, safety features, drivability tests, and ensure all company and state disclosures are properly displayed.
• Maintain positive and professional interactions with coworkers and external vendors.
• Communicate effectively across business units including team members and management.
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.

General Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for the past three years.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently, with lifting primarily from knee to shoulder height and occasional lifting from other positions.
• Capable of carrying and transporting loads up to 60 pounds for distances up to 20 feet.
• Comfortable standing for long periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, or pulling, often in outdoor, varying weather conditions that can be cold, hot, noisy, wet, and with vehicle-related fumes or odors.
• Possession of excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Use of safety gear including but not limited to face shields or goggles, non-slip footwear, gloves, face masks, and other protective apparel might be required.
• Role involves frequent driving and some typing tasks.
• Strict adherence to regular and predictable attendance expected.
