Car Detailer

Role Overview

We are seeking motivated entry-level Lot Attendants to join Carvana, a leading rapidly growing automotive retailer known for revolutionizing used car sales in the U.S. As a Lot Attendant, your primary duty is to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of vehicles at our Market Hubs, coordinate with team members for timely delivery, and ensure top-notch customer satisfaction.

Compensation and Growth

• This is a full-time position.
• Paid time off, paid holidays, and your birthday off are included.
• Starting hourly wage is $15, with increases up to $16 per hour within the first year based on performance milestones at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months.
• Progress is supported by the 'Careers Not Jobs' program, offering merit-based pay raises every 90 days.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on vehicles for mechanical, cosmetic, and drivability issues.
• Regularly wash and vacuum inventory to maintain vehicle quality.
• Carry out multi-point vehicle inspections checking fuel levels, safety features, drivability, and compliance with company and state disclosure standards.
• Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and external vendors.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and management throughout all operations.
• Adhere to consistent and reliable attendance standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for the past three years.
• Capable of lifting up to 60 pounds independently, mostly between knee and shoulder height, and transporting this weight up to 20 feet.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and routinely stretch, reach, walk, stoop, push, and pull in various environmental conditions including cold, heat, noise, wetness, and exposure to vehicle-related fumes and odors.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Use of personal protective equipment such as goggles, face shields, gloves, mask, and appropriate footwear is required.
• Frequent driving and occasional typing tasks involved.
• Must maintain regular and predictable attendance to fulfill job expectations.
