Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking entry-level Lot Attendants to join Carvana, recognized as one of America’s fastest expanding used automotive retailers and a Fortune 500 company. In this role, you will be responsible for preserving the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles at our Market Hubs. Coordination with colleagues is essential to guarantee prompt vehicle delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Compensation and Benefits
- This is a full-time position.
- Includes paid time off and paid holidays; your birthday is also a paid holiday.
- Competitive starting hourly wage of $19, with opportunities to increase pay based on performance.
- Pay schedule progression: $19/hr initially, $19.25/hr at 3 months, $19.50/hr at 6 months, $19.75/hr at 9 months, and $20/hr at 12 months.
- The performance-based Careers Not Jobs program enables earnings to grow by $0.25 every 90 days across four merit increments annually.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect each vehicle for mechanical, drivability, and cosmetic issues.
- Regularly wash and vacuum all inventory.
- Perform multi-point inspections on new inventory including fuel levels, safety features, drivability, and proper display of company and state disclosures.
- Maintain positive relationships with coworkers and external vendors.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management across all business divisions.
- Consistently maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum age 18 with a valid driver's license and clean driving record for the previous three years.
- Ability to lift independently up to 60 pounds, with frequent lifting between knee to shoulder levels and carrying loads up to 20 feet.
- Capable of standing for prolonged periods with activities including stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling in diverse environments that may be cold, hot, wet, noisy, or contain vehicle-related fumes or odors.
- Willingness and ability to perform outdoor work regardless of weather conditions.
- Good visual acuity and manual dexterity required.
- Use of safety equipment such as face shields or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and protective garments may be necessary.
- Frequent driving and occasional typing tasks.
- Must exhibit consistent, reliable attendance.
